Disclaimer

Last updated: 2026

Please read this carefully. It explains what The Veteran’s Benefits Playbook is, what it isn’t, and the terms on which it is provided. By reading the book or using this website, you accept this Disclaimer in full.

1. Educational purpose only

The Veteran’s Benefits Playbook and this website are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are designed to help you understand VA benefits for veterans, spouses, and survivors in plain English, and to point you toward the right forms, offices, and questions to ask.

2. Not professional advice or representation

Nothing in the book or on this website is legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. The author and publisher are not VA-accredited representatives, claims agents, or attorneys, and do not prepare, present, or prosecute claims. Nothing here creates any professional, advisory, representative, or fiduciary relationship. For help with your own claim, use a free VA-accredited Veterans Service Organization or county veterans service officer, or an accredited attorney or agent.

3. Verify before you act

VA rates change every December 1, and rules can change by new law or regulation; some benefits vary by state. Every figure reflects VA rates in effect from December 1, 2025 and rules as of October 2026 to the best of careful research, but figures can change without notice. Before making any decision or taking any action, confirm the current details with VA (VA.gov), an accredited representative, your state veterans agency, or a qualified professional. All examples are illustrative only, and your own results depend entirely on your individual circumstances.

4. No guarantee of results or eligibility

We do not warrant or guarantee that you will qualify for any benefit, receive any particular rating or amount, or obtain any particular result. Eligibility and outcomes depend on your personal circumstances, the rules in force, and decisions made by VA and other government bodies over which we have no control.

5. Provided “as is” — no warranties

The book and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the information is error-free, complete, or current.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author, publisher, and their affiliates will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind — including any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss, or any loss of money, benefits, savings, data, or opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the book or this website, even if advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid for the book. Nothing here excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Your responsibility (assumption of risk)

You are solely responsible for how you use this information and for verifying it before acting. Any action you take based on the book or this website is taken entirely at your own risk.

8. Not affiliated with VA or any agency

This is an independent educational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, any branch of the armed forces, any Veterans Service Organization, or any other government agency, and we receive no payment or commission from any of them. All program names, forms, websites, and phone numbers mentioned are public information.

9. A word on scams

VA will not cold-call you demanding personal or financial information, and never asks for payment in gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency. No one may charge you to prepare or file a first VA claim. If someone contacts you claiming to be VA — or claiming to be us — and asks for sensitive information, your login, or payment, do not respond; contact VA directly at 1-800-827-1000 or through VA.gov.

10. Questions

Support for your purchase is handled through Gumroad, the platform that processes and delivers the book. For any question about your order, use the receipt or order page from your Gumroad purchase.
