This policy explains, in plain English, what happens with your information when you visit this page or buy The UK Senior Survival Playbook. The short version: we collect almost nothing, we never sell anything about you, and we will never telephone you.
Who we are
This website (robertretires.com, including this UK section) is operated by Robert Retires, an independent educational publisher. For anything in this policy, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you buy the book — collected by our checkout provider, Payhip, so your download can be delivered to you.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Payhip and PayPal on their secure systems. We never see or store your card or bank details, and we never ask for them.
- Basic, anonymous visit statistics (such as how many people visited and which country they came from), using privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics. These statistics cannot identify you personally.
We do not ask for your phone number, address, date of birth, or any financial information — and anyone who contacts you claiming to be us and asking for those things is not us.
How we use your information
- To deliver your book and your download link.
- Occasionally, to email you when the book is updated for a new tax year. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing always works.
- Nothing else. We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we never telephone customers.
Our lawful basis (UK GDPR)
We process your email under contract (we need it to deliver what you bought) and send occasional update emails under legitimate interests, which you can opt out of at any time.
Who handles your data with us
A small number of trusted services make this site work, each processing data under their own privacy policies: Payhip (checkout and delivery), PayPal (payment processing), Netlify (website hosting), and Cloudflare (anonymous visit statistics).
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept only as long as needed for delivery, customer support, and legal and accounting requirements, and no longer.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how it's used. Email [email protected] and we'll respond. If you're unhappy with our answer, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website and book are intended for adults and are not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
