Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website and the book The Australian Senior Survival Playbook (the “Book”). By purchasing, downloading, or using the Book or this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or buy the Book.

1. What you're buying

You are buying a digital book delivered as a downloadable PDF for your own personal use. The price is shown in Australian dollars (A$32). No physical product is shipped. You are responsible for having a device able to open a standard PDF.

2. Licence — personal use only

The Book is licensed, not sold, for your personal and household use. You may read it, keep it, and print a copy for yourself. You may not resell, republish, share, sublicense, or distribute it, in whole or in part, or use it for any commercial purpose. If someone else would find it useful, please direct them to this website to buy their own copy.

3. Payment, delivery & refunds

Payment and delivery are handled by our third-party platform, Gumroad, subject to its own terms. Because this is a digital product delivered instantly, we don’t offer refunds for a change of mind once the download has begun. If your file is faulty, corrupted, or won't open, contact us through the receipt or order page from your Gumroad purchase and we will replace it or provide a refund. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. General information, not advice

The Book helps you understand the Age Pension, super, tax, concessions and aged care in plain English, and points you to the right forms, offices and questions. It contains factual and general information only. It is not financial product advice, tax advice, legal advice or personal advice, and it does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. The author does not hold an Australian financial services licence and is not a registered tax agent, lawyer or financial adviser. Before making a decision about your super, investments, tax or aged care, consider getting advice from a licensed professional, and confirm your situation with Services Australia, the ATO, your super fund or My Aged Care. See our Disclaimer for full details.

5. Accuracy & no warranties

Every figure was carefully researched and reflects pension rates from 20 September 2026 and thresholds for the 2026–27 financial year, as of October 2026, to the best of our knowledge — but laws, limits, rates and amounts change, usually on 20 March, 1 July and 20 September. To the extent permitted by law, the Book and website are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Always verify against the official sources cited.

6. No guarantees

We do not guarantee that you will qualify for any payment, concession or benefit, or receive any particular amount or result. Outcomes depend on your circumstances, current rules, and decisions made by Services Australia, the ATO, your super fund, aged care providers and other bodies.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author, publisher, and their affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss or damage — including loss of money, pension, savings, or opportunity — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Book or this website. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the Book again or refunding the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Not affiliated with any agency or fund

This is an independent educational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Services Australia, Centrelink, the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, any state or territory government, or any super fund. We receive no payment or commission from anyone for any product or service mentioned. All program names and forms mentioned are public information.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this website at the time you use it is the version that applies.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher is established, to the extent permitted by law. This does not take away any rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the place where you live, including the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Questions

Support for your purchase is handled through Gumroad, the platform that processes and delivers the book. For any question about your order, use the receipt or order page from your Gumroad purchase.
